Epsom Tennis Club Joins the Padel Movement!

Former British Number 1, Sam Smith officially opened Epsom Lawn Tennis Club’s new padel tennis court on the 14th December.

The new padel court compliments the existing 12 tennis courts at the club and was built on a piece of lawn sitting beautifully between two hard courts and the club’s outside canopy.

The many club members that attended the opening were given the opportunity to play on the court, using a range of new Head padel racquets before enjoying mulled wine and mince pies.

The padel court was built by 'The Padel Court Company' who offer a range of courts from the Italian Padel Company. ELTC opted for the Deluxe court option and with the project being delivered on time and on budget and completed to a high standard, the committee are very happy with their choice of supplier.

ELTC are currently offering standalone tennis or padel memberships or combined memberships for both sports. Take-up of the padel membership is currently exceeding expectations and the Club have a padel tennis open day planned for Saturday 1st February. The open day is open to all and there will be a chance to play on the new court and enjoy refreshments.

Anyone wishing to come and have a look at the court or have a game are more than welcome and should contact club chairman Mark Ayers on to organise their visit. ELTC are in the process of registering their team for the National Padel League and would welcome any approach for friendlies from other clubs in the area.
